Description:, The Bitter orange is an evergreen tree with large dark green glossy leaves, native to southern China and India, however, heavily cultivated in the Mediterranean.

Extraction: Distilled from the freshly picked blossom

Aromatherapy uses: A gentle oil, suitable for people throughout all stages of life, from infancy, through pregnancy and into the sage years of one’s life.

Nervous system:

Skin: It is non-allergenic, and is recommended to reduce redness and irritation, making it suitable for the treatment of Rosacea.  It is thought to help stimulate the growth of healthy new cells and may improve the appearance of stretch marks, making it best well suited for pregnant woman.

Digestive System: Useful in combination with massage for stomach cramps especially in combination with Irritable bowel syndrome.

Children’s remedy – with infants and babies use the floral water in an aroma diffuser or their bath to aid relaxation and sleep. It is also thought to aid gas in babies when added to their milk.
