Why buy certificated organic essential oils as opposed to our premium brand?

It's really a matter of choice but certainly where the peel of the fruit is used in the distillation process there is a good reason for buying certificated oils.

Organic Carrier Oils

To compliment our organic essential oils blend with cold pressed organic carrier oils. A fully Soil Association certificated organic range in keeping with our high standard for all oils both essential and fixed vegetable oils.

Premium Essential Oils

New Seasons produce quality essential oils for our broad customer base, we have many years' experience in bulk trading and have built up relationships with essential oil producers around the world. This has given us the knowledge necessary to select the best quality oils from the most reliable sources.

Our premium range of essential oils consists of over 100 oils from 40 countries. Our range is always changing so if you want an oil that is not listed, please ask as we may either have it in stock or are able to source is for you.

All oils undergo a variety of tests for purity, ranging from mass spectrometry through gas liquid chromatography to the more standard test of refractive index, optical rotation and specific gravity. Most importantly we do not get lost in the high tech side alone - AROMA is one of the key tests; if it does not smell right, we do not buy it!

Absolutes

What are Absolutes?

Some plants being of such a delicate nature such as Jasmin, Violet Leaf and Linden Blossom can be damaged by the process of steam distillation, the viscous paste is extracted through a complicated process using certain solvents. The absolutes tend to have an even more powerful scent than traditionally steamed essential oils and often more expensive but less quantity is required in a blend.

Carrier Oils

Essential oils are too concentrated to put directly on the skin, to compliment our essential oils we produce an extensive range of vegetable carrier oils which when blended with essential oils and massaged into the body can provide a pleasant and soothing aroma. The rule of thumb for a blend is 4 -5 drops of essential oil to 15mls of carrier oil. Vegetable carrier oils are derived from the nut or seed of the plant and they themselves contain vitamins and minerals the combination of these bases with the essences feeds the skin and can produce a sense of well being.
